Fred Fox
Alternate Events Coordinator
Club member since 2007
I have been involved in outdoor sport/activities for most of my life. I went camping with friends as a boy, often on our bicycles. I biked, canoed, jogged, played baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. I enjoyed all of them but was really not very good at any of them. Now my primary outdoor sports are biking, motorcycling, boating, and downhill skiing.
I haven't done any weekend or long trips with the Rovers but you can usually find me at the social events including the meetings and happy hours on Tuesdays.
I like to coordinate downhill ski trips during winter (I used to teach downhill skiing to hearing impaired) and got to know the Rovers when they came on two ski trips I coordinated and told me I'd have to join if I really wanted to have a lot of fun. I followed their advice and they were right.
In February of this year (2008) a couple of officers of the Rovers Board of Directors suggested I run for the board, which I did and now serve as the Alternate Events Coordinator, helping the Events Coordinator organize the Spring and Fall Rover Intro Show and Extravaganzas (i.e., parties, which I enjoy doing).
