Volunteer Camping Trip, Superior National Forest
Help commemorate 50 years of the Wilderness Act by volunteering to assist with backcountry campsite maintenance in Superior National Forest within and near the Boundary Waters. Training, food, equipment and camping fees are provided by the National Forest. We’ll be ided into small teams and assigned to areas throughout the Forest, working with Forest Service Rangers. Work includes trimming brush, removing trees, resetting fire grates, erosion prevention, packing out trash, etc. Minimum age 18. I work for the National Park Service, a partner on this volunteer event.
Estimated cost: Only cost will be gas for carpooling. Max trip size: 15.
