The Minnesota Rovers Board of Directors is made up of elected officers who help guide the club and support its administrative and operational needs. Each role has specific responsibilities that keep the club running smoothly and help ensure we can continue offering the activities and community our members enjoy.
If you’re interested in serving on the Board, please review the officer roles below before submitting a nomination.
If you’re not ready for a Board position but would still like to get involved, you can also sign up for a committee role.
President
Runs general meetings and Board meetings. Has general management of the club.
Trips
Publishes trips. Announces trips at meetings.
Trips Assistant
Assists Trips Director.
Treasurer
Maintain/monitor bank accounts and budget; keep accurate records and accounting. Present financial report at each regular Board meeting.
Treasurer Assistant
Assists Treasurer.
Recording Secretary
Records Board meeting minutes; creates Year in Review. Notify members of annual meetings.
Membership
Monitors/updates membership data in membership system. Monitor/update automated membership emails. Board liaison for the New Members Committee.
Membership Assistant
Assists Membership Director.
Web Administrator
Maintain and update website, oversee technology tools and accounts (e-mail, e-group, social media, Dropbox, Mailchimp, etc.), support Board and committee members in using tech tools.
Director at Large — 1st Year
Provides continuity of leadership. Requires minimum of one year of previous Board experience plus at least 3 years of Rovers membership.
Director at Large — 2nd Year
The Director at Large position is a two-year commitment. This position is always filled by the previous year’s 1st Year Director at Large.
