President
Runs general meetings and Board meetings. Has general management of the club.
Trips/Vice President
Publishes trips. Announces trips at meetings. VP covers for President when needed.
Trips Assistant
Assists Trips Director.
Treasurer
Maintain/monitor bank accounts and budget; keep accurate records and accounting. Present financial report at each regular Board meeting.
Treasurer Assistant
Assists Treasurer.
Recording Secretary
Records Board meeting minutes; creates Year in Review. Notify members of annual meetings.
Membership
Monitors/updates membership data in membership system. Monitor/update automated membership emails. Board liaison for the New Members Committee.
Membership Assistant
Assists Membership Director.
Database Director
Provide monthly summary of members to Board. Provide data and reports to Board as requested. Provide report of membership fees to treasurer.
Presentations Director
Solicit presentations for all weekly member meetings. Put presentation descriptions on MN Rovers website and Meet-up pages. Send communications to speaker and membership about upcoming presentations. Introduce speakers at member meeting or arrange for a substitute.
Publicity Director
Coordinate Spring and Fall Intro Shows, work with apparel company to create Rovers merchandise, coordinate volunteers for events to promote Rovers.
Conservation Director
Coordinate conservation-related activities, such as (but not limited to) prairie seed collecting, invasive species identification, buckthorn pulls, and bird counts. Inform members of conservation issues.
Events Director
Coordinate Spring and Fall Extravaganzas. Reserve campsite, recruit members to offer agenda of activities during the events, work with Equipment Committee to ensure that necessary equipment is available. Work with webmaster to post the sign-up form. Send communications to people who sign up.
Web Administrator
Maintain and update website, manage technology tools and accounts (e-mail, e-group, social media, Dropbox, Mailchimp, etc.), support Board and committee members in using tech tools.
Director at Large — 1st Year
Provides continuity of leadership. Requires minimum of one year of previous Board experience plus at least 3 years of Rovers membership.
Director at Large — 2nd Year
The Director at Large position is a two-year commitment. This position is always filled by the previous year’s 1st Year Director at Large.
