Join me for a morning hike around Lake of the Isles on Wednesday, October 1 to enjoy the beauty of this urban lake. Lake of the Isles has a 2.7 mile pedestrian path. The route has an elevation gain of about 32.8 ft and is rated as easy. This is the fourth lake in my series of hiking the chain of lakes in Minneapolis. The extended forecast shows a morning of upper 60s to low 70s so that calls for a moderate pace and your water bottle to stay hydrated. At the end of the hike, I will have a thermos of hot water for tea or coffee (Starbucks Instant) and a baked treat.
We will meet at the southwest corner of the lake at 10:00 am and hike counterclockwise. There is free parking on West Lake of the Isles Parkway near the intersection with West 28th street. We will meet on the pedestrian path near this point. On a weekday there would be plenty of parking.
