Arriving on Friday, Sept. 1st at my place,1767 Drummond St., Eau Claire, WI for tent setup, snacks/drinks between 5:00 -6:00 pm, at 6:00 biking to dinner close by. My backyard where we setup the tents, is bordered by Putnam Park, a great natural setting.
Saturday:
Breakfast on steel cut oats with brown sugar, milk and coffee provided by me. Bike the rivers and hills of E.C., approx. 20-30 miles, shorter if you wish to return sooner. See how the rivers flow through the city from great vantage points never before scaled in the history of man. There is an opportunity to also swim in the clean water of Half Moon by Carson Park if it is a hot day. I have a shower at my house but hopefully it will not be used. There will be access to a bathroom at my house.
We’ll picnic while biking and stop at a local brewery towards the end of the ride. In the evening in the backyard there will be grilled vegetables and grilled chicken. Additional contributions of salad, dessert, side dishes would be appreciated.
Sunday:
Breakfast on steel cut oats with brown sugar, milk and coffee provided by me. Bike the Chippewa River bike trail, approx 30-50 miles round trip depending on how far you’d like to go with a picnic on the way. We’ll come back to my place, biking the same way back, then pack and leave by 4 pm at the latest.
