Backpacking on the SHT

Description:

Join me as we backpack on the section of the Superior Hiking Trail known as Section 13. From Crosby Manitou State Park to Co. road 6. It is a relatively flat (easy) section except near Co. rd. 6. I did this section about this same time last year and the leaves were at or near their peak. We will drive up Thursday, (you will need Thursday afternoon off) early afternoon, and hike Friday through Sunday. Our mileage for each day will be about 6/8/5. This is not a beginner trip, you must have previous backpacking experience (no new boots either). You will be responsible for your own food. You must also be willing to tent with another person if necessary. Estimated cost: $40. Deposit: $40. Max trip size: 6.
