Winnipeg Folk Festival — Birds Hill Provincial Park, Canada

Category: Hiking, Summer Trips, Camping, Other Summer Activities

Wed - TueJul 6 - Jul 122016
  • Estimated Cost: $268
  • Max Trip Size: 8 people
Description:

This used to be an annual Rovers trip in the ‘70s and ‘80s and I have wanted to go ever since I heard about it! There will be 4 days of folk music on 10 stages in a beautiful provincial park just outside of Winnipeg with hiking and a beach. The 4-day ticket includes the admission and camping. I plan to stay in the “noisy” Festival Campground. Your cost will be the ticket, which you will purchase on your own plus shared gas expense. You are on your own for food and can buy festival food or bring camping food. Shuttle bus provided or bring a bike to go between festival and camping. You will need your full camping gear, clothes, water bottle, etc. Parking is in a remote lot so you might want a wagon. The performers will announced on March 10 and Early Bird tickets go on sale March 11. Adult $268 Canadian dollars or Senior $198 Canadian. All you music lovers – give a shout and let’s go! Passport will be required.
