Come join us for a fun ice skating experience with optional gourmet tacos after.
Centennial Lakes Park features a 10-acre lake that is groomed daily during the winter for ice skating. Spread out over three main ponds connected by narrow, meandering canals, the rink gives skaters a unique skating experience.
All skating abilities are welcome. I don’t skate well at all, but I just have fun. Skate rentals are $10. If you bring your own skates, skating is free. You can also rent push sleds, which is like a walker on ice. Concessions are available, such as hot chocolate. We will skate from 5:30 to 7 pm and then head over to El Camino Gourmet Tacos for those interested.
Meet in the warming house at 5:30 pm for introductions. Feel free to arrive later, and look for us! The warming house is Hughes Pavilion, 7499 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435. There is plenty of free parking. You can get your rentals before or after we meet. People can skate on their own or in a group, depending on how things work out and the various levels of skating ability. Stay as long as you like. Some of us will be heading over for tacos at 7 pm. The rink closes at 9:30 pm.
