Canoeing / Kayaking the Blue Earth River — South of Mankato, MN

Description:

Canoe/kayak a segment of the Blue Earth river just south of Mankato where it enters the MN river. This from the book “Paddling Southern Minnesota.” “The Blue Earth is a great combination of fun class 1 rapids, dramatic rock outcrops, high wooded bluffs, and a pair of tributary waterfalls.” So the trip is limited to 3 boats one of which is my kayak. So any other 2 boat combinations of a canoe/kayak. You provide boat. Meet at 8AM at Bloomington REI parking lot. Drive to put-in on Blue Earth river. 11.8 mile/3.5 hour paddle. Return by 4:30PM to REI. Call Tom at 651-230-1272

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
