This is a trip to canoe/kayak the final 8 miles of Yellow Medicine river which flows into the Minnesota river. “Frequent rapids(class I-II) and standing waves make for exciting paddling.” This is not for beginners. Leave 8AM, this Saturday from Macalster parking lot by football field. 130 miles west. 2.5 hour drive. Arrive, set up tents, paddle. Need dry bag or similar, lunch, dinner, breakfast.
