Skiing, Snowshoeing, Yoga, and Fine Cuisine in Lanesboro

Sat - SunFeb 6 - Feb 72010
  • Estimated Cost: $100
  • Deposit: $100
Description:

This trip is organized around the Adult Getaway Weekend at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in the bluffs just west of Lanesboro in southeast Minnesota. It includes the high ropes course, yoga, a winter-survival seminar, guided nature hike, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing and a four-course dinner by Wisconsin cooking-school chef Monique Jamet Hooker. We’ll also go to the candlelight ski on the Root River State Trail from Whalan, four miles east of Lanesboro, but make it back in time for dinner. People who don’t want to ski can stay and listen to the chef talk about cooking with local ingredients. Lodgings are in modern rooms that sleep four in bunks and have private attached baths. On Sunday after we check out, we can go snowshoeing in the bluffs or skiing on the trail. Send $100 directly to Eagle Bluff. You can get a full refund until Jan. 15; after that, you get half back if you cancel. Call Beth to sign up for carpooling (it’s a 2 1/4-hour drive). Estimated cost: $100. Deposit: $100.
