Enjoy the trails of this hidden gem in St. Louis Park. We’ll hike through pine and oak forested hills, then descend to skirt a lake and walk through wetlands along a boardwalk. Many animals make their home in this park: deer, turkey, swan, mink, snapping turtles and many smaller birds.
Please note start time is at 6:30 p.m. for this hike! We’ll hike for about an hour or so, rain or shine. If it’s damp, you may want to bring some bug protection.
Meet in the parking lot. To get to the park, take I394 west and exit at Louisiana Ave, heading south. At the top of the hill, take a left, cross over bridge, turn right on Wayzata Blvd. (frontage road). Follow the frontage road approx. ½ mile, turn left on Texas, go about ½ mile to the first stop sign at Franklin Ave. Turn right, go approx. 4 blocks to the Nature Center entrance on the right.
Estimated cost: $0.
