Though Quetico Provincial Park is contiguous with the BWCA, it is a unique wilderness experience, allowing a fraction of the number of visitors, and developing no campsites. We will paddle, portage, and camp, spending five nights in Quetico, entering through Prairie Portage (a five-hour drive north). The exact route will be determined by all the participants, though a highlight is sure to be Louisa Falls on the cliffs of Lake Agnes. You will be responsible for your own food, personal camping gear, and arranging for a canoe with your “paddling partner(s).” You must be signed up for this trip by June 15 to allow 4-6 weeks for processing the Remote Area Border Crossing (RABC) document.
Estimated cost: $350 + your own food. Deposit: $120. Max trip size: 5.
