Car (tent) camp at McFarland Lake on the edge of the BWCAW. We provide Saturday meals, Sunday breakfast and lunch. Please car pool if possible. Trip expenses are tax deductible if you itemize.
Teams will Substantially clean up all projects on the east end of the trail by:
Add ramps to the newly relocated Portage Brook Bridge so brush cutters can access the area between Portage Brook and the Stump River.
Clean up the old Portage Brook bridge site reusing the extension section for ramps above.
Brush cut between portage Brook and Stump river.
Remove accumulated logs from above Stump river bridge and straighten and re-level bridge supports.
Operate a Dingo Loader to move and level a dump truck load of gravel to the washout at the Swamp River bridge site on the combined BRT/Superior Hiking trail.
