Trail Clearing Border Route Trail — Clearwater Lake, BWCA, MN

Category: Trail Maintenance

Thu - SunMay 30 - Jun 22019
  • Estimated Cost: $60.00
  • Max Trip Size: 9 people
Description:

The Border Route Trail (BRT) is 65 miles long.  It connects the Superior Trail to the Kekekabic Trail and was built by the Minnesota Rovers in the early 70’s.  The BRT was recently included in the National Scenic Trail system as part of the North Country Trail.  We will be maintaining a section of the Border Route Trail within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA).  From Clearwater Lodge we will be boating or canoeing on Clearwater Lake to a campsite on the lake. We will work using hand tools to clear the trail for the hiking season. Bring your own camping gear; group meals will be provided as part of the trip.

So please join the crew for a fun weekend in the BWCA and sign up at https://www.borderroutetrail.org/schedule.html#tripw1

Coordinator(s):
James R.
