Description:Hello friends!
This will be open to people of all skill levels. Depending on who shows up, we can split into groups accordingly: newcomers/those who are unfamiliar with the trails and those who just want to shred!
I’m hoping to stay somewhere between 30-40 minutes within radius of the Extravaganza and am open to suggestions.
First ride will be at Sunfish Lake Park at 10:30AM and depending on how people are feeling, we can decide on where to go after next. Sunfish definitely is not the easiest of trails and can be quite hilly but it is a good challenge and is one of the better groomed trails so you won’t feel as claustrophobic.
Having a bike with some kind of suspension is recommended but not a requirement IF YOU’RE A BEAST! To give you an example of what I currently run, I will be on a gravel bike with very little suspension in my bike’s stem, so I will not be going super fast.
Like many things in life, singletrack riding can be inherently dangerous so it’s important to keep around and use protective equipment. Some examples of what you could bring for safety: a helmet, gloves, kneepads, elbow pads, chest protector, and or even riding goggles.
Be sure to bring water and snacks to replenish those much needed calories!
The trails will only be open to the public if the weather hasn’t ruined them beforehand as most will be closed if it’s wet from rain. Rain = No biking.
