Hiking — Giant’s Causeway and Glenariff Nature Reserve, Northern Ireland

Category: Hiking

Sun - FriAug 25 - Sep 62019
  • Estimated Cost: $1625
  • Max Trip Size: 2 people
Description:

I am using Macs Adventure which coordinates the trip and provides nightly accommodations, daily baggage transfers, comprehensive route notes, a detailed map and pre-departure information pack as well as emergency support. Hiking is on your own each day; there is no guide.

Antrim Glens and Causeway Coast is a combination of The Moyle Way and the Causeway Coastal Walk. The trip highlights the diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife and geological wonders. The trip begins in Cushendall for the Glenariff Nature Reserve for a waterfall hike and green forests with two nights in Cushedall; the rest of hiking is along one of the most dramatic coastlines in Europe, before ending at  Portstewart. The most striking feature of this walk is Giant’s Causeway, the striking World Heritage site. Game of Thrones used these coast areas in the series.

The hiking trip is August 29 – September 6; I am flying to Ireland on August 25 and returning on September 11th. The cost of the hiking trip is $1625 plus airfare. The trip includes breakfast but you can request a packed lunch or eat in small towns along the route.

Decide quickly if you want to come along; airfares are going quickly.
