Join us for a 2-night backpacking trip along the Superior Hiking Trail, suitable for beginners with some backpacking knowledge, such as if you attended 2026 backpacker info trips or Beginner Backpacking classes from a previous year.
Leave Mpls Fri, Jul 10 ~7am for drive to Sugarloaf trailhead, drop ppl/packs and driver(s) will park at SP and be shuttled back. Hike 4.3 mi to first campsite (Dyer’s Creek). Sat is 6.2 mi to Cross River camp and Sun return to Mpls after hiking ~3 mi to Temperance SP
Costs include: Carpooling from Mpls (est 25-$35) and shuttle from end point to start ($25-40 depending on # of ppl). Meals are covered by each attendee.
Each person is responsible for their own gear and welcome to use the gear locker as needed.
We’ll meet to finalize logistics/carpooling and perhaps take a shakedown hike once the group is identified. Please feel free to email any questions.
