Please join us for one or two 5-6 mile loop hikes along the Mississippi River starting from the Wabun Picnic area near Minnehaha Falls. Both loops are being called Fitness hikes because they go at a medium fast pace*.
Here is a link to the meeting place!
The first loop hike starts at 7 am SHARP. The first loop will go on both sides of the Mississippi River between the Ford Parkway and Lake Street bridges. We will go down to the river level a couple of times, including on the Winchell Trail.
Between the loops, we will have a break back at the Wabun picnic area before the second loop. Bring your own food and drink.
The second loop starts at 9:15 am. Please be patient if the first group is late, but we will leave on time if possible. This loop will also go on both sides of the river, this time between the Ford Parkway and Highway 5 bridges. On this loop, we will go down to the river level on both official and unofficial trails, including climbing over logs, rocks, and down & up steep loose slopes.
We will go rain or shine, so plan for that.
A limited number of well-behaved dogs are welcome. Contact me if you plan to bring a dog.
Non-Rovers are welcome if they submit the online liability waiver below.
Please sign up via email or text.
See you on the trails!
