Border Route Trail Mechanized clearing trip — Heston’s Lodge on Gunflint Lake, MN

Category: Trail Maintenance

Thu - SunOct 10 - Oct 132019
  • Estimated Cost: $40
  • Deposit: $40
  • Max Trip Size: 16 people
Description:

We will be clearing the BRT western end from Gunflint Road to east of Bridal Falls.  Other sections may be cleared as time allows.  We will be using power equipment (let me know if you are USFS certified), but also need workers to do hand tool work and carry equipment.  If you can walk in the woods, you can help us.

We will be staying at Heston’s Resort on Gunflint Lake (340 miles from TC), and have room for 14 people plus 2 crew chiefs.  We can help with car pooling.

Cost will be $40 + gas expenses in car pool.  Please sign up on the website borderroutetrail.org and verify by sending $40 to Larry Quinn.  You are not officially signed up until you have contacted Larry or John Elliott (612-867-2489)

Coordinator(s):
Larry Q.
