Camping/Hiking/Paddling/Biking — Mille Lacs Kathio State Park, MN

Category: Hiking, Bicycling, Camping, Paddling

Fri - SunOct 2 - Oct 42026
Description:

This is a little short-notice, but autumn weekends up north are to precious to waste!

Camping trip to Mille Lacs Kathio State Park, Friday, Oct. 2 – Sun, Oct. 4. This will be an “introvert -friendly” trip that requires participants to BOOK THEIR OWN CAMPSITE, which allows folks the option to grab a little alone time if/when they need it.

Campsites are $25.00 per night and I’ve booked mine in the Petaga Campground.  I’ll share my campsite number once you contact me about going on the trip.  As of Sept. 21, there were 33 sites still available in that campground. This trip is BYO everything, and activities can include hiking, paddling, biking, etc. My trips are pretty free-form, choose your own adventure, in groups, pairs, or solo. We can eat together or solo. The only thing I ask is that we gather around a campfire in the evening.

You can borrow equipment from the Rovers gear locker for this trip, such as tents, sleeping bags, sleep pads, cook stoves, pots, coolers and more!  Check it out here!

If you are interested in this trip, I would advise booking your campsite ASAP. And let me know you’re coming – extroverts are also welcome!
