- Max Trip Size: 25 people
Forests provide food, shelter, and other needs of wildlife, and they improve air and water quality. But these beautiful areas are often compromised by invasive species. Help native plants thrive by removing buckthorn seedlings by hand in Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve.
Wear boots for possibly muddy sections of the trail to the woodlot, work gloves, hat, and layers for cooler weather. Bring water, a snack (if desired), mosquito repellent, sunscreen, your own work gloves, hand sanitizer, and a mask. You will be able to remove the mask when you are working 6 feet apart from others. Optional —stay for a byo lunch and a spring/early summer hike too!
Kids age 8 and up are welcome to participate with an adult.
COVID-19 notes: Equipment will be disinfected. Carpooling is only allowed for people who live in the same household. Members are responsible for bringing their own protective equipment (mask, gloves, hand sanitizer).
Participants MUST register with trip coordinator prior to the event.
Meet at the horse parking lot at 9:30 a.m. (This address will get you pretty close: 9501 Sunset Lake Boulevard, Prior Lake, MN 55372. 9501 is what’s on the Three Rivers sign, but Google puts you a little bit north.) (Latitude N 44.70827 Longitude W -093.33002).

Turn right on 168th Street and travel 0.8 mile through one stop sign (go straight through the stop sign; street now named Judicial Road) to 170th Street West.
Turn right on 170th Street West (a gravel road) and travel about 0.75 mile to the Horse parking lot on the left.
