Join me at Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park for a 3-night 4-day tent camping trip. I have reserved the Mooz group tenting site from Thursday June 23 – Sunday June 26, 2022. The site has a screened-in shelter with electricity and WI-FI, vault toilets and a potable water spigot. The shower house is within walking distance.
There is a lot to do in the area-Biking, hiking, kayaking, shopping and site seeing in Tower or Ely, and more! Tour the historic underground mine, take your boat out on Lake Vermilion, swim at a nearby beach, hop on the Mesabi bike trail or hike through acres of old growth pine forest. Do your own/small group/large group thing during the day and gather back together in the evening for a group meal and to share stories of your adventures around the campfire.
Anticipated cost of the trip is $27 per person (lodging and firewood). Transportation, food, and additional activities are on your own. Carpooling is strongly encouraged as parking is limited.
