Sunday, June 12, at 0930 AM, meet at Sherburne Nat’l Wildlife. Meet at Blue Hill Trail. Leashed Dogs are allowed. Benches along trail for resting. We will hike approx 5 miles on Blue Hill Trail. There are restrooms at the trail head and no charge for admission or parking. Bring water, snacks, bug spray and sun protection as desired.

Blue Hill Trailhead & where we will meet is 1.2 miles west of refuge headquarters, on Cty Rd 9.
Blue Hill Trail

Location of trail: Trailhead is off of Sherburne County Road 9, 1.2 miles west of refuge headquarters

Difficulty: Moderate
Information: Five miles in total, this hiking trail has three loops that take you through prairie, oak savanna and coniferous habitats. Venture up to the overlook for a vista of the surrounding area, as Blue Hill is the highest point in Sherburne County. This is also the place on the refuge to spot natural rock deposits left behind by glaciers
