Description:

Join us at Lake Carlos State Park, 2601 County Road 38 Northeast, Carlos, MN 56319 for a 4-night 5-day tent camping trip. I have reserved the Lakeview group site from Wednesday July 26 – Sunday July 30, 2022. The site has a three-sided shelter with electricity, vault toilets and a potable water spigot.

Sculpted by ancient glaciers, Lake Carlos State Park contains a tamarack bog, marshes, woodland ponds, and lakes. A variety of recreational activities revolve around the lake. Clear and deep, Lake Carlos offers visitors a perfect setting for swimming, fishing, boating/kayaking, biking and hiking. Lake Carlos State Park | Minnesota DNR

There is a lot to do in the surrounding area also – Biking the Central Lakes bike trail, Carlos Creek winery and Northmen Brewery visits, shopping, museums (Legacy of the Lakes Museum, Runestone Museum), and site seeing in the Alexandria area. You can do your own small group/large group thing during the day and gather back together in the evening for a group meal and to share stories of your adventures around the campfire.

Anticipated cost of the trip is $25 per person (camping and firewood). This is a great price whether you attend four nights, three nights or just two. We will have a potluck supper on Friday night, but the rest of your meals and snacks will be on your own. Carpooling is strongly encouraged for economical and ecological reasons.

Four spots will be reserved until June 10th for new Rovers that have joined since September 2022.

Email (not call) with any questions you might have.

Coordinator(s):
