This is a loop hike on both sides of the Mississippi River, about 7 miles long, going by Hidden Falls, Minnehaha Creek, and Ft Snelling. Much of the hike will be on pavement but we will go off-pavement on questionable trails often (that’s the fun part)! We will also go from the bluff to the river & back about 3 times, which means there are hills. Bring water and hi-energy snacks (optional) and dress according to the weather. We will meet at the corner of East River Blvd and Prior Ave South, which is the south entrance gate for Hidden Falls Regional Park (GPS 44.896923, -93.182296).
I will be coordinating this and other hikes that are at a medium-fast-paced speed (approx 17-19 minutes per mile). Please join us if you are interested in a medium-fast-paced hike. We will stop for occasional breaks. If you find you aren’t keeping up with the group, please be willing to notify me and turn back or continue the hike on your own so that the group may continue to hike at this pace.
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can leave right on time.
