Silverwood Park is “devoted to supporting the practice, appreciation, and awareness of creative interactions between people and the natural environment.” In addition to trails that highlight Poetry, Sculpture, Natural History, and Forest Bathing tours, there is also an art gallery and café/coffee shop. Meet us at 10:00 a.m. at the front of the Visitor Center. We’ll start hiking promptly after a round of introductions. Plan on 3ish miles and about 90 minutes. Afterwards, those who are interested can socialize for a bit inside the Visitor Center. You may also want to take a few minutes to check out the Art Gallery.
Three Rivers Park District is sponsoring a Fall Adventure Passport. Visit the nine featured parks or nature centers and have them stamp your passport. If you get all nine stamps, you can visit the Administrative Center and get a prize. Passports are available at the parks, if you want to join the fun!
Bring water/coffee/hot chocolate and a snack and dress for the weather and to hike. And let us know if you are coming, so we’ll know to look for you.
The address for Silverwood Park is 2500 County Road E, St. Anthony, MN 55421. (It is just west of Silver Lake Road and County Road E.) The phone number is 763-694-7707. The #4 Metro Transit route goes to Silver Lake Road and 39th Avenue, about a mile away.
