We will bike for a couple of hours along the Minnesota River from the Cedar Avenue Bridge south to Nine Mile Creek. The trails wind through the woods, go up and down little hills and along the edge of the Minnesota River. The trails are dirt and sand so fat bikes or mountain bikes are recommended. You can stay on the main trail if you want an easier ride or take the smaller trails for more adventure.
Helmets are required and non-Rover members need to sign a waiver. If rain is forecasted or the trail is muddy we will have to cancel. Email me if you are coming so I know to look out for you and I can give you my mobile number in case you need directions.
Directions: Meet at the Dakota County parking lot under the 77 bridge on the southeast side of the Minnesota River, just outside the state park. This is the Eagan side and not the Bloomington side. From the cities take 77 south and take the second exit to Highway 13 north. Take the next left on Silver Bell Road and then a right on Black Dog/Nicols Road. The parking lot will be on the right at the end of the road.
If you are using a GPS to get there you can use this address: “3711 Nicols Rd, Burnsville” or Latitude/longitude: 44.825675, -93.230207.
