Please join me for a choice of a 6 or 9-mile loop hike along the Mississippi River on all or mostly paved trails! The plan is to go at a medium pace or more, so please be able to walk at least 3 mph (20 min per mile).
PLEASE NOTE THAT DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME STARTS ON THIS DAY.
We will stop for a snack /water break at about 3 miles and a lunch break around 6 miles to rest, eat, drink, and socialize a bit. Please pack your own lunch/ snacks/ drinks.
The route starts at Minnehaha Falls, goes across the river on the Ford Bridge, then continues along the east side of the river north to the Lake St-Marshall Bridge where people can cross the river and head back for a 6-mile loop. I will be with the group that continues on a 9-mile loop north to cross at the Franklin Ave Bridge before heading back. If the group is interested we can include the Winchell trail on the route back. NOTE LOCATION CHANGE: The hike starts at the Wabun Picnic Area at THIS PARKING LOT
