Please join me for a hike of up to 8-9 miles at Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve in Scott County. This is a hilly area and there will be some options for turning back and doing fewer miles After the recent snow this could be a slippery, snowy, or wet hike. I recommend waterproof boots or shoes and grippers. The plan is to go at a medium pace or more, if conditions allow, so please be able to walk at least 3 mph for the duration of the hike (20 minutes per mile).
We will be making a short lunch stop after the halfway point at a picnic area where there are tables and a vault toilet. Please bring lunch/drinks if you wish.
The meeting place is at the main parking area of the park, near the dog park and is LOCATED HERE. There is no cost to hike in this park.
A limited number of well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please contact me if you plan to bring a dog.
Non-Rovers are welcome if they submit the online liability waiver below.
Please send me an email or text if you are planning to come.
