Let’s get (a little) lost! Bring a child you want to introduce to the outdoors! Parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/mentors are all welcome.
Finding your way after you get lost is an important outdoors skill. On this hike, the kids will start out blindfolded. The adults (who won’t be blindfolded) will lead the kids into the woods. Once we get to a good spot, everyone will get a map of Lebanon Hills and a goal. The kids, with help from the adults, will find their way to the flag on the map. No GPS allowed. 🙂 We will have some treats as a reward for everyone’s hard work.
We may end earlier than 4:00 pm – depends on how the navigation goes.
Plan to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Please bring: blindfolds for all the budding navigators, a compass if you have one, and water bottles for your party. There are bathrooms at the trailhead.
We will meet at Holland Lake Trailhead at 1100 Cliff Road. There is a parking lot here. Please note this trailhead. There are multiple entrances to Lebanon Hills Regional Park. If you attend you are expected to stay and participate in the activity with the child you bring. 🙂
Please RSVP with: how many adults, how many kids, any food allergies I should avoid.
Changes in plans because of weather will be sent out to anyone who RSVPs.
