Free admission. Join Us at the scenic, one of a kind Lake Elmo Park Reserve! The lakes and trails offer variety in landscape and a tremendous amount of beauty. Plan on 1-1/2 hours or so of hiking, approximately 4-5 miles at a moderate-brisk pace. You will get a great rolling hills workout here too!
Lake Elmo Park Reserve is a 2,165 acre park which offers a wide variety of terrain, including forest and prairie. Park facilities include modern and equestrian campgrounds, picnic areas, a fishing pier, a boat launch, and a sand bottom, chlorinated swim pond. Cost: Free admission on the day after Thanksgiving.
MeetUp Location: Park at the Nordic Center. Enter Park and follow signs.
Hike Plan: We have been experimenting with the hiking trails here. We will do one hour of hiking in a circular route that provides views of several ponds, forest and prairie areas. We will add more length at the time, for those who are interested in adding another 30 minutes for a total of 1-1/2 hours.

Directions: From Interstate 694, exit at County Road 10 (10th Street North). Follow County Road 10 east for 2.6 miles. Turn left (north) into the park.

Recommended: Good walking shoes, water and a smile.
Dogs are not allowed on this hike.
