- Max Trip Size: 8 people
This is a reschedule. Rain or wet trails have foiled a few of my June mountain biking trips. Even when not raining, biking on wet trails causes damage to the trails, so we’ll continue to avoid the trails when wet. If we’re unable to ride, I plan to shift to either a road bike ride or hike starting from Simon’s Ravine trailhead – I’ll communicate if that becomes necessary making this a rain or shine trip! No obligations though if you sign up and then don’t want to do the back up option.
For now, join me in Inver Grove Heights to mountain bike the MORC trails at Salem Hills, Salem Hills Park, 1642 Upper 55th St, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55077.
This a neighborhood park with three loops (A, B, C) totaling 4.4 miles, let’s aim to ride them twice. We’ll meet in the parking lot and there’s a port-a-potty and drinking water available.
Let me know of you’d like to join. Non-Rovers welcome, just fill out the waiver and send me a note.
About the trails:
- From MORC: “Riders can expect smooth and flowy terrain that switches between forest to open prairie. The trail’s few features are optional, including a jump line that was built in 2022.”
- I tried the A loop last week and it was easy. A friendly biker in the parking lot told me B and C were their favs. I expect these trails to be entirely beginner friendly and easy/green.
