Join me for a summer morning hike around Lake Harriet to enjoy the beauty that is Minnesota in the summer.
We’ll meet at the intersection of Roseway Road and Lake Harriet Parkway at 10:00 a.m. (approximately 4380 East Lake Harriet Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55409, across Lake Harriet Parkway from the Lyndale Park Rose Garden). I’ll be by the bike path. We’ll plan to hike at a moderate pace (3 mph?), and maybe do about 3ish miles. The lake is only 2.75 miles around. But with possible stops at the Bread and Pickle along the way and the Rose Garden and Peace Garden at the end, plan on 1.5-2 hours. Parking is available along Lake Harriet Parkway as well as in the neighborhood on East Lake Harriet Boulevard and 42nd or 43rd Street.
We will hike clockwise (hiking south away from the bandshell on the east side of the lake).
Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Bring water and a snack if you want. Bring money/card if you want to buy something at the Bread and Pickle.
Let me know if you’re coming so that I have a general idea of the size of the group.
