This coming Saturday, August 16th, let’s visit the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum to start hiking the Three-Mile Walk trail at 9:00 am, and then to get more steps in…attend the Art in the Garden show. The hiking and Art show are included with an annual membership. For non-members, you will need to purchase a $20 one-day admission ticket and fill out the (which can be applied to an annual membership that same day if you want – which is what I did on my first visit to the MN Landscape Arboretum.
Art in the Garden show (goes until 4 p.m.): You will be able to hunt for handcrafted art pieces against the backdrop of the Arboretum’s gardens at this unique showcase of art and nature, featuring more than 70 local vendors offering culinary treats, crafts, fine arts and more. Arboretum guests of all ages can meet the artists, listen to live music, mingle, stroll, eat and shop. Music will be by Traveled Ground, offering a unique combination of the Americana sound from Folk, Blues, Jazz and Roots Rock, Traveled Ground’s music crosses the spectrum of the Roots Music scene. Hailing out of Waconia, Minnesota, this group has kept a busy schedule playing local, regional and national stages for over 32 years. If you plan to stay to listen to music, make sure to bring along a blanket or chair to enjoy the music.
Please purchase your timed-entry ticket as soon as possible in case the time slot gets sold out. Choose the 8:30 AM – 9:00 a.m. time slot on Saturday, August 16.
Only service dogs are allowed. Tickets are not refundable or exchangeable.
The address is 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska, MN 55318. As you drive in, you will have your pre-purchased ticket scanned at the gatehouse. We will meet outside the main entrance to the Oswald Visitor Center by 8:50 a.m. for a brief introduction and a prompt 9:oo am hiking start time.
