Join us in exploring the Art Shanty Projects on Saturday February 20th at 11:00 on White Bear Lake. This is a festival on ice with shanty themes that vary from educational, interactive to just plain fun, like the Dance Shanty or the Slumber Party Shanty. The event is free and family friendly. If you miss this, the program runs every weekend in February from 10 am to 4 pm.
We will meet at the ramp to the ice from the parking lot area at 11:00. Ice access is by the boat ramp in the South East corner of the parking area. The Art Shanty Projects are located approximately 1500 ft offshore on the ice.
Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and be prepared to spend at least 3 hours exploring the Shanties and take a ride on Matoska Tonka (big white bear) pedal bear. In the past, there have been hot drink and food vendors near the parking lot. To keep warm, you may also bring along your own non alcoholic hot beverage.
