Astronomical Viewing at 70th Anniversary Weekend — Hyland Park Bloomington, MN

Category: Other Summer Activities

Fri - SatAug 16 - Aug 172024
  • Max Trip Size: 100 people
Description:

Assuming that each night is clear, I will set up a telescope on Friday and Saturday night, during the Rovers 70th Anniversary Weekend at Hyland Park in Bloomington.  We can view the Moon, as well as some clusters, bright nebulae and the Andromeda Galaxy. Later, around 11pm Saturn will also rise above the trees and be visible to us.

Start time is 9:00.  Location TBD.  Will work with the trip organizers to find a suitable location close to the campsite, away from trees.

Coordinator(s):
Suresh S
