Autumn Hike at Baker Park

Sun, 6:00amNov 142010
Description:

Get your 10,000 steps (and then some) in for the day! Join me on a 6.2 mile hike around Lake Katrina at Baker Park Reserve. (It will probably take two hours or so.) You’ll be pleasantly surprised at the beauty of Baker Park – marsh, fields, forest (basswoods, oaks, cottonwoods, elms, maples). Bathrooms available along the trail. Bring water, snacks, and wear appropriate clothes for the weather. We’ll meet at the Trail Access Parking Lot that is 0.25 miles north of Highway 12 on Baker Park Road (Highway 29). (Careful! It’s easy to miss this parking lot located on the east side of Baker Park Road.) We’ll leave at 2:30 p.m. Optional ice cream treats afterward at the nearby Dairy Queen. Estimated cost: $0. Max trip size: No limit.
