- Max Trip Size: 50 people
Hey there, backpackers! By popular demand, we’re hosting a gathering for Rover backpackers of all skill levels. Our purpose is to get to know each other, chat about past trips, and hatch 2025 plans.
We’ll be meeting on Sunday, February 2, from 10:00 AM to noon at Venn Brewing in Minneapolis. Venn offers a coffee and tea bar all morning (or beer if you want!).
All backpackers are welcome and encouraged to attend – beginners, experienced, and backpacking-curious. Meet your peers, ask questions of more experienced folks, dream of exciting backpacking destinations! The more we mingle as a community, the better. The purpose of this event is to connect Rovers with similar interests who will go on to plan and post backpacking trips at all skill levels.
We’re timing this meet-up to follow Josh B’s January 11 Backpacking Trip Coordinator Workshop. Participants will leave his session understanding the ins and outs of planning a backpacking trip and, we hope, all fired up to discuss plans for 2025.
For those who are brand new to backpacking and interested in getting started, coordinators and recent participants from the Rovers’ Beginner Backpacking Program will be at Venn. They can talk about what the program offers for those who have little or no previous backpacking experience.
