Description:

This is a 4-day backpack of the praire pothole region and lake region of the North Country Trail near Valley City, North Dakota. Lake Ashtabula, the Sibley WMA, and Baldhill Creek WMA will be backpacked through. This is a significant waterfowl area with nesting white pelicans, grouse, turkey, and gray partridge and much wildlife including mink, beaver, muskrat, coyote, fox, moose, deer, and even possibly a stray cougar. Estimated cost: $50 plus gas and possible hotel. Deposit: $50. Max trip size: 6.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
