Backpacking the Superior Hiking Trail

Fri - SunOct 15 - Oct 172010
  • Max Trip Size: 6 people
Description:

It’s not winter yet, so join us for one more beautiful fall weekend of backpacking on the SHT. We are planning on doing a 14.5 mi section from Lake Cty 6 to Sonju Lake Rd: 9.3 milies on Saturday and 5.2 miles on Sundaty. This will take us near high cliffs popular with climbers and an impressive boardwalk over a large beaver pond. We will leave Friday after work, camp Friday night in Finland and start hiking Saturday morning. Breakfasts, lunches and snacks are on your own, but we’ll do a group dinner Saturday night (let us know if you have any food restrictions). You must be a Rover member to participate on overnight trips. Estimated cost: Food + gas. Deposit: . Max trip size: 6.
