Bald Eagle Viewing in Wabasha

Sat, 6:00amMar 132010
  • Estimated Cost: $8
  • Max Trip Size: 100 people
Description:

Want to see eagles? The National Eagle Center is holding a “Soar With the Eagles” festival each weekend in March at its facility in Wabasha, MN. The NEC is on the bank of the Mississippi River where Bald Eagles, and sometimes also Golden Eagles, can be viewed as they perch, soar, feed, and even conduct courtship flights. The festival costs $8 per adult to attend and includes activities such as a photo presentation and several feeding periods when attendees can watch feeding captive Bald Eagles. Besides attending the festival, we will visit another nearby location where eagles can be watched, sometimes close by. Membership not required. We will leave around 8:00 a.m. and return in the early evening. Bring binoculars and cameras. Estimated cost: $8 plus gas and food. Max trip size: 100.
