Description:

Bayfield Peninsula Camping. Join us at the Melberg family site in Frog Bay on Lake Superior, just north of Bayfield, WI. Pitch your tent near the beach or find a secluded spot up in the woods. Daytime activities are up to the individuals/group – a spreadsheet will be shared to help plan equipment. Options include bike rides, hiking one of the multitude of trails, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, We will have the traditional evening campfires on the beach. Due to the short time to the trip, it is bring your own food. Facilities for meals include a charcoal grill, propane stove and open fire on the beach. A small donation is requested to cover the cost of consumables used over the weekend. Please let me know you are coming with a call or text.

The forecast as of 7/13 is a chance of showers. Last trip that translated to rain in the morning on Saturday and spectacular weather the rest of the weekend

This is an easy going trip – all the benefits of car camping at a fairly remote location.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
