Description:

Bring your tent and camp at a remote family property on Wisconsin’s North Coast. Camp on the sand beach, right on shores of Lake Superior or up in the woods. Enjoy day hikes on the peninsula, just for the pleasure of hiking or to see some of the waterfalls hidden away in the area. Visit Bayfield, hike the many day hikes on the peninsula. If you are comfortable with kayaking, bring your kayak and paddle out to one of the islands. Swim, if you dare! Or, just hang out. Evenings we will have a fire on the beach and s’mores (adult beverages, as well). The Persieds meteor shower should be peaking on Saturday, Lake Superior is a fabulous place to meteor gaze. Space available for 2 or 3 iniduals inside the 2 room cabin. Saturday and Sunday breakfasts& Saturday dinner included in the cost. Lunches, snacks and adult beverages are on your own. The Bayfield County website has information on hiking trails, events and natural areas, including parks, natural areas and wildlife reserves. Estimated cost: 20. Deposit: 10. Max trip size: 15 or so.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
