Beginner Rock Climbing

  • Max Trip Size: 6 people
Description:

Where: Taylors Falls (aka Interstate Park) the parking lot just before bridge to Wisconsin near Showboat tour

  • When: 10:00 a.m. for climbers, 8:00 a.m. for climb setters
  • What to WEAR: Clothes that allow full mobility and that may get scuffed up. (Rovers will provide climbing gear.)
  • What to BRING: water bottle, lunch/snacks, cash for after climbing meal out (optional).

Those wanting to learn/practice setting climbs should be there at 8:00a.m. We’ll set several climbs up before 10:00 a.m. We’ll meet climbers at the outdoor drinking fountain at the south end of the parking lot, fill out waiver forms and climbing permits (free).

Estimated cost: $0. Max trip size: 6-12.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Membership is required on overnight trips (except for Extravaganza and Border Route Trail work trips).

It is the responsibility of both the trip coordinators and the participants to discover and share information related to each others’ experience and capabilities regarding trip-related activities and responsibilities.

It is also club policy that waiver forms be signed by all people participating in Rover events.
