Beginner Series: Inline Skating

Thu, 5:00amJun 162011
Description:

Beginner’s inline skate along the Greenway trail. While everyone is encouraged to join us, this trip is ideal for those who are new to the sport, sometimes don’t feel they can keep up with the group (we won’t leave you behind), or have not been out much on their skates this year. The Greenway trail is a particularly wide, smooth, and flat trail, ideal for beginning skaters and/or social skates. People of all levels are encouraged to come though the pace will likely be slower than typical to accommodate beginners.

We will begin with dinner at Punch Pizza and then take a leisurely skate on the Greenway. We will have wrist guards and helmets on the table to help you find us. Wristguards, knee guards, and helmets are recommended. Bring water. We will reschedule if the trail is wet.

Meet at Punch Pizza at 6:00 p.m. for dinner or the Greenway entrance/back parking lot of Calhoun Village in Uptown at 6:45 p.m. behind Punch Pizza, 3226 West Lake Street in Minneapolis. Take Lake to Market Plaza. Park behind Punch. Estimated cost: free + dinner if desired.
