Beginner Winter Camping — Wild River State Park, MN

Category: Winter Camping

Sat - SunDec 7 - Dec 82019
  • Estimated Cost: $5
  • Deposit: $5
  • Max Trip Size: 4 people
Description:

Introduction to Winter camping at Wild River State Park.  We will be camping in the regular car campground which will allow campers to bring plenty of extra clothing and gear to assure they will be comfortable.

Campers will be required to have insulated snowmobile boots or mukluk boots – borrow if you have to.  The Rover equipment locker has tents, sleeping pads and two sleeping bags that are for winter camping.  I can help you with your equipment/clothing questions.

There is usually some snow, so you may be able to ski or snowshoe depending on the amount, otherwise we can walk the trails.

I will provide supper mail only with chili and a dutch oven cake.  You will provide your other meals.

Experienced winter campers are also welcome to attend.  Call for details.

Coordinator(s):
Basil L.
