Biking — Eagle River, WI

Category: Bicycling

Mon - WedAug 31 - Sep 22026
  • Estimated Cost: $200
  • Deposit: $50
  • Max Trip Size: 6 people
Description:
Join on a three day bike trip to the headwaters of the Wisconsin River by Eagle River, WI. That is an1 1/2 hour north of Wassau; 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive from here.
Departure:  Monday, Aug 31, return Sept 2.
Leave early on Monday and travel to the area around Eagle River, WI and bike 20-25 miles.  The area is fairly flat, wooded and lots of smaller lakes.
We would stay overnight in a VRBO in the area
Day Two would be a longer loop in the area.  Stay in the same VRBO as first night.
On Day Three, we would pack up our gear, hit another loop and then make our way home.  Probably home in the early evening
The headwater area has lots of options for bike routes.  These are on country roads that are not highly traveled.  I am not wed to any route in particular — so we can select as a group.  We would have a somewhat leisurely pace around 12 mph.  Though most roads in that area are paved, we may encounter some packed gravel.
Limit is six.  We would share food responsiblities across the group.
Lodging should be under $150 for the trip.  Plus food and ride share.
This is a last minute trip, so I need your commitment by August 20.  There will be a zoom planning meeting about 3 to 5 days in advance.
Email/call/text with any questions or with your commitment.
