Category: Hiking, Bicycling, Summer Trips, Camping, Paddling

Sat - MonJul 16 - Jul 182016
  • Estimated Cost: $15
  • Deposit: $15
  • Max Trip Size: 12 people
Description:

We had *so much fun* on the Easter Cuyuna yurt trip that we decided to go back when we can actually ride on the mountain bike trails and bring our kayaks. This time, though, we’ll be staying at a group site at Father Hennepin State Park.

Options will include hiking, cycling around Mille Lacs, exploring the Croft Mine, or playing at Cuyuna Recreation Area. Cuyuna has a plethora of lakes, 25 miles of mountain bike trails that range from beginner to pro, and both bike and boat rentals are easily available.

Father Hennepin State Park is on the SE shore of Mille Lacs Lake. This will be a low-key weekend where you bring your own food plus a pot-luck dinner on Saturday. You must be a current member to register for this overnight trip.
