Come and join me to explore the birds that migrate through and breed at Lebanon Hills Regional Park. We will meet at the Holland Lake location at the intersection of Cliff Road and Lexington Ave. S. Most of the migrating song birds are back now and beginning to raise the next generation. We may see some birds still migrating through the Twin Cities. We will likely see or hear warblers, sparrows, wrens, flycatchers, woodpeckers, thrushes and vireos common in this area. Bring your binoculars and bird book (optional) and park in the parking lot. We will meet near the Holland Lake shelter promptly at 8. We will hike to various locations and then stop and listen and observe the birds that are present, then move on to the next location. Total distance will be about 3-4 miles. We can also observe any interesting wildflowers or other plants if desired.
Bring any water or snacks you might want. Please email me directly with questions and if you plan to come.
